I doubt WinTV2000 with my PVR150 is saving the same information as your HVR-1600. It also years ago since I last used WinTV2000. I'm not about to install it on my machine to try to find this out for you - this is just something you'd need to work out yourself.

I remember running across a program which could migrate the television channel information from wintv2000 to gbpvr. Does this sound familar? I have searched with little success. I ran searches for transfering channel information to moving channels over to... no such luck. Any thoughts?

I'm guessing you mean FreqCopy, but that is only about analog channel frequencies (copying the Hauppauge frequencies to Microsoft frequency override registry settings) so wont help you with this specific quest.

I e-mailed hauppauge to see what they would say. They, of course, were not happy that I was using other programs to access the card. They offered no help in determining this information. Can I get it from the broadcaster or is it specific to the card's reception at my location?

I don't own an 1600, but the tsreader notes seem to indicate they support two types of BDA sources for ATSC. Did you try using tsreader even though it isn't a directly supported card?

Yes, I tried the Nova-S model, but then I couldn't change the models after that. So it was unfrotunately, a one shot deal. I've been trying to find a way to change it, but uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix it. Deleting the files and everything didn't fix it. I don't know what to try next.

From memory, holding the left shift (or ctrl) key when you start the app gives you the option to change the source.

The Ctrl key according to my version of TS Reader (Standard not Lite but I'd expect it to be the same).

cahill84 - I'm guessing that what pastro meant was that you should try either the ATSCBDASource.dll or ATSCBDASourceNS.dll options for input source.

Cheers,
Brian

I didn't know the name of the source but I saw in the version info that they supported two types of BDA sources depending on tuning options. Thanks for clarifying the names. Hopefully one of those will work for Cahill84.

Thanks guys, that information was much appreciated. I had really odd results though, it still didn't pick up the channel? I don't understand how WintV2000 can have it coming in clear at 80% quality and strength, but the other stuff not pick it up. I'm going to keep working on it.
