Tuning Problems

Hi All,

I can't tune my Haupauge PVR 500 in.

When I configure the devices I have set the XMLTV epg source but I can't see any channels or anything else to map to.

If try the BDA EPG plugin it doesn't see the PVR device.

In the tuning assistant I only get analoque channels. (which It didn't expect on a DVb hardware decoding card - but interesting).

The haupauge device checker (found another thread) see Haupauge PVR-500 with FM with as dev 1 and Haupauge PVR-500 as dev 2.

Is possible to set the channels Manually or is there a separate MUX scanning tool I can to dump GBPVR compatible channel list

You have a Hauppauge PVR500, which is an analog card. It doesnt do any digital. You need setup two capture sources. Use the 'direct recording plugin' and select the PVR500 as the card type, one as device #1, the other as device #2.

After you've configured you're XMLTV epg source and hit 'update epg', you should see your list of channels - make sure each has its correct transmission channel listed next to each channel. If you dont know the transmission channels, you can run the tuning assistant to check the numbers.

???This is an analog card, so there are no muxes or channel scanning or anything required.
