I'm having some client/server issues. I have 0.99.12 on both the client and server and not matter what I do, I can't seem to get GB-PVR to load on the client. I have turned off all firewalls on both computers. I have tried using the host name and the UNC for the "server". I followed these instructions I found in another post... Still no go...any ideas? THANX!

I'm assuming that 'logs.zip' file you attached is from the client? If so, you dont have the 'act as client' check box ticked (on the capture source tab of config app).

Actually they were from the server. However I was able to get GBPVR to load on the client. I didn't have the gbpvr folder shared on the server. Now when I try to watch live tv using streaming I get a black screen for a couple of seconds and then I see the OSD but no video. (this happens using VMR9/VMR9 custom and full screen) (in timeshift mode and preview mode) When I use file sharing and try to watch live tv it pauses for a couple of seconds go to a black screen and then goes back to the main menu. (this happens using VMR9/VMR9 custom and full screen) (in timeshift mode and preview mode). I attached ne logs. THANX!

It actually looked like you were getting some error from your nvidia tuner, which probably meant the timeshift recording failed, leading to the client failing when it asked for the file.

To check, do you see a file get created on the server in the live tv buffer directory when you try? and does it grow?

When I try to watch live TV from either the server or the client I don't get a file created in the TV buffer folder.

Yeah, I dont think the error is related to the client/server aspect, but rather some difficulties with trying to get the nvidia dualtv to record.

Do you have a lastgraph.grf in your gbpvr directory?

Well... I'm making some progress... I figued out the path to the tv buffer and recording directories were spelled differntly. So now I'm getting video on the client but after the first 2 seconds the video gets really choppy and there are vertical lines going down the screen. (using both streaming and file sharing)

Can you post the client and server logs for streaming?

There isnt really anything obvious in the logs. The client does have a direct3d error in the logs, but that may be a red herring. Worth trying VMR9 instead of VMR9 Custom to double check this.

You're not on a wireless network?
