Sub,

Sorry hadn't spotted the Microsoft cock-up. They've now released a patch for the patch and having applied it, the dll error has gone away.

A few more recordings last night and recording service is still holding up.

Beginning to look positive......what did you change?

Your psi.log files seemed to always indicate a certain condition immediately prior to the crash. I couldnt see why exactly it would have crashed, but I put some logic in to not process the packet when that very unlikely condition occurred - best I could do without receiving these broadcasts myself.

Hopefully it'll keep working fine for you.

Sub,

I've had no recording service crashes since this change was installed. Looks like this one's cracked.

Thanks

Really Odd. Since the update I've noticed recording service crash, but only when recording BBC3.

do you ever remote desktop into this workstation? if so don't. I think this can cause recording service crashs. I found this when i remote desktop into by 2003 server.

No I don't remote desktop. It only fails when recording BB3 (about 50%) of the time.

Mine used to fail recording BBC3 but since I installed the PSIPARSER update, the crashes have stopped.
