We have success! I installed the new version. I noticed the DB size was still 0k. Deleted it, ran 'ConvertVADatabase' and I got no error! Told me it created a blank DB. DB had some size to it at this point!
Started up GBPVR and saw my recordings. Checked DVD's. Tells me to 'Please Wait' but I don't have any DVD's ripped on the system currently, so I'm trying one now. I'll let you know how it goes.
Anyway, thank you sooo much for sticking with me on this. I know it can be frustrating.
Once I rip the DVD, I'll make sure it pops up. Then I'll restart the recording service and see if everything comes up. That was my original problem.
I just wanted to pass on the good news about the DB creation working.
If you press F11 (GO on the remote) it will scan your defined directories for files. Actually, now that I think about it it should do this automatically on the first startup if the database is empty - maybe that is why the hour glass is going back and forth right now. if you look in the log file you should see what progress it is making, if any.
DVD finished ripping. However, when I try to view the DVD list, tells me to please wait.
Pressed the GO button, nothing seems to help.
However, TV recordings are working fine. I am now able to view the recordings list.
Attached are the logs and DB.
I keep getting the below in the archiver-PC.log:
04/07/07 10:08:55:441 PM[1] Render: ContainerAndParentCount is zero for ; started thread to fill file list.
04/07/07 10:08:55:769 PM[21] DVD List: In FillDirectoryTree

No, it didn't work. Works on the TV Recordings, but not on the DVD's.
Same msg over and over:

I think I may know what the problem is. The plug-in has never worked well with files in the root directory. Can you create a sub directory under d:\dvd movies and copy your mpeg file into it?
