Sometimes, there is a video file that is quite large, but you want to skip or jump to certain places in it.

For example, a video of stand-ups or something, that you want to share and show friends a specific part of it.

So, would be nice, if during viewing (and during pause), one could press a button to "Create Bookmark", and possibly even add a description to it.

Then, while watchin a video, if there are bookmarks for it, they will show (in the info screen, while pausing or pressing the Blue), and you could choose from them

---------------

A reduced option, instead of bookmarks at all, would be to allow to "Jump to Location", whereas during viewing, a button press would bring a dialog with :

Jump to: 00:00

and you could just press remote buttons 0-1-2-0 OK to jump to 01:20 in the movie (need seconds also? don't think so, but maybe).

To be honest, its probably something I wouldnt use, so not very high on my priority list, but maybe in some future release.

Fair enough. Forget the first option (bookmarks), but at least the second one (jump to time) should be fairly easy to implement. For you, that is. Right?

where's the benefit of that? you know that you can jump i.e. 90 minutes forward by pressing 9-0-skip? the rest is just some math Wink

You can? I didn't know that. If so, the option I suggested is not that important (although maybe a slightly easier interface).

I would be cool if it remembered where you were in the file if you stop in the middle and come back to watch the rest later. Tivo's and Replays have this functionality.

It does this already. Go into your config > misc tab and check 'prompt for resume'.
