I'm trying to install GB-PVR as a client on my laptop running Vista Premium (32) and I keep getting an error:
"The system cannot open the device or file specified."
followed by:
"Internal error 2755. 110, C:\Users\Kai\Desktop\GBPVR09912.msi"
I am the admin, but I've had to run programs specifically as one when installing other programs. With an .msi this doesn't appear possible. I also turned off my virus scanner and closed any program I could find with no apparent effect. I looked around inside the msi, but couldn't find a reference to 2755 or 110.
Any ideas?

It use to give an error like this on XP if you didnt have .NET installed, but I think its part of Vista, so shouldnt be that.

To run as admin... this works in XP, it'll probably work in Vista as well

Open Command Prompt and type:
Quote:runas /profile /env /user:administrator "msiexec /i c:\path\to\your\file.msi"

Thanks. The command prompt thing seemed to work as far as making it run as an admin, but I still got the same error when it ran. And you're correct Sub, .net 2.0 is included with Vista.

Is there a way to install the program manually without using the installer?
