Also... the guide shows with nice round fonts (but has another problem - the font is too big and get's all clipped).
See the two images. Am I doing something wrong? is there something I can adjust easily?

The one on the top is the live-skin.xml file located in the \TVGuide folder.

Try this small tweak out.

I suspected it will happen - the picture doesn't show the problem. I guess it's a bit more personal - with my current settings, I don't get a 1:1 pixel on the plasma. This font/size looks like it's more "blocky". For some reason, the similar fonts used by Blue look OK, but this one, on the display looks a bit broken.
I can try take a shot of the screen to try and help.

You could edit the baseskin.xml file and try different fonts to see if you find a better one.

About line 185 (depending on theme used) you will find the line:

<TextStyle name="OSDText" color="White" typeFace="Arial" size="13" style="bold"/>

Change typeFace, trying "Arial", "Tahoma", or "Segoe UI" (the Sassari font) or any other windows font, and you can try size "14" even.

Whatever you find works best I'll make that change to all themes.

Tweak didn't change much. Look at the pictures - the font in the Live Guide is huge! Why can't it look like the OSD font, or better yet - the font in the normal Guide?

Now that I'm changing the skin - I saw that the skin-plugin copies lots of files. Will it override my changes if I use it?

Ok, let me look at decreasing the live-guide font.

Do not change themes, main menus, or select new baseskin.xml files, they will overwrite your changes. Make copies of them before making any changes. Once you get them perfected, I can show you what to do to have them as a selection.

BTW - in the baseskin - there's only one "guide" thing. How can distinguish between main guide and the live-tv Guide? and why doesn't the live guide looking like the main guide by default?

Try this, the sizes are "fixed" and not controlled by the baseskin.xml
