You actually mean the output box - I use the GBPVR file writer.

If you want use S-video as an input you actually only need the crossbar and perhaps your sound card if you use that for sound input instead of the fusion.

The graph you show is analog so no .tp files it needs to be encoded anyways. You can probably write .tp using the ATSC tuner.

You can directly write a tp file though, for example, if you take the motorola STB graph and attach it directly to the filewriter filter (oops that would be a .ts file). The plugin would need a slight mod for it to work since it currently returns the filename and an MPG (I think) rather than checking the extension of the file you are writing.

GBPVR doesn't always play well with transport streams though.

Possibly the last question: I copied the dlls to the plugin folder, opened the config.exe app, click on plugins tab but do not see the new plugin and neither do I see an option to load a new one. I looked at the config file for gbpvr and none of the location seemed right for a pointer to your plugin. So now my question is, how do I install the plugin in gbpvr and begin using it?

Thx a lot for your help.

It's not that kind of plug in - it is a recording source and will show up there as one of the options,

Yes - it is one of the capture devices - named graphRecorder, wherever all the other capture devices are

I was looking for just that, but no luck. To recap, I copied the contents of the zip file's plugins folder to c:\..\gbpvr\plugins folder. Do I need to do anything else for gbpvr to see the graphRecorder dll? Given with your help I see the capture source, where in gbpvr will I do the channel mapping?

Hmmm,

I go to the config program - capture sources - hit add - under recording source select graphRecorder set the EPG source then hot ok and back out of config to save the source, then go back in and you should be able to configure. You'll see the channels after you do a guide update.

Did you copy everything into the right directories, there are several files that go in the plugin and several in the main GBPVR directory.

Also Dark Half - there is a 1.1 version on the wiki which allows a second set of graphs for a list of (, separated) channels, it should fix your issues with Gbpvr treating a STB as two separate sources. Glad I did it since I think it was causing me some issues with recordings.

I had to reinstall gbpvr before graphRecorder showed up as a source. Now I am trying to figure out how did you decipher the qam major minor values from fusion software. I have five channels that all says RF=100 and can't figure out the major and minor for each one. BTW, I am trying do QAM recording not over the air.

A simple way to figure it out is to use Titan TV and save the files rather than register them, but as I mentioned it can be a bit quirky.

Dvico told me they will have a BDA QAM driver by this quarter but who knows !?
