When I use the community skin I like to tweak the skins colours. What I also like is to make several different versions depending on my mood. So, is it possible to make a new field in the skin plugin so that it can save as a file the new "skin"? For instance, I use the BlueMCE2 theme, but change several of the backgrounds. Thus far, I've been manually making my own file, but it would be nice to have a save as option - e.g. BlueMCE2_custom1 - directly.

Thanks,
Jam.z

The "hard way" is to browse to the ..\skin\skinplugin\themes\ folder and make a copy of BlueMCE2.xml and BlueMCE2.jpg as BlueMCE2_Custom1.xml and BlueMCE2_Custom1.jpg

Edit the BlueMCE2_Custom1.xml with the path and file names of the ones you selected. You will have to browse those folders and view them in windows explorer.

That BlueMCE2_Custom1 theme will be selectable.

Hello,

I've chnaged my default recordings screen behaviour to always go to what's new, but other people in the house get confused.

Is there anything I can edit in the skins so that the button for the selected screen is highlighted (possibly in a diff colour) and tells you which one you are currently on?

Either that or can I add a title for each of the recording views, and how would I go about doing this?

Cheers

Unfortunately, there is no solution to your request. There is no way to control the display of a "SelectedInactive" button in that screen, nor is there a way in the skin to identify the contents of the display list (ie, "what's new", "pending", ect.) to place a title or "mode" somewhere. This would be something sub would have to add to the plugin.

You can add a text string that states "Default view=What's new", but that is about it.

<CompositeImage name="Background" size="720,480">
<DrawCompositeImage name="ScreenBackground" loc="0,0" size="720,480" parameters="@ScreenName=Recordings"/>
<Element name="InsetRect" loc="10,380" size="145,90"/>
<DrawText text="Default view=What's new" loc="500,450" size="200,22" textStyle="ScreenText" align="Right" />
</CompositeImage>

Adjust location and string to suit...

Is there a way to change the order the buttons are displayed in?

If I am starting with Whats New, then it makes sense to me to have it at the top of the list.

Thanks

Sorry, no. Very few plugins allow the skin to control buttons other than graphics used behind them being selected or not. The default GB-PVR "plugins" are not one of them.

I just installed Music Library 2 and am getting the following error:
Quote:Error: Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Community\_CommonImages\ListView_selectedActive.png'.

I installed the newest Community Skin today (30 Apr). In my _CommonImages folder I appear to only have listview_selected.png and listview_selectedinactive.png

I had the same error last night after install, but just an install of the newest community skin from the Wiki seemed to have fixed it - maybe it was something else then?
