Is there any screen in GB-PVR that actually makes reference to the number of cards installed? I mean in the program itself, not the config program.

I actually watched a program the other day while recording another program, which indicates the 2 tuners are working, right?

Yes if you watched a live tv or time shifted program, while recording on a different channel. If you watched a previously recorded show, then you still don't know.
Double click on the G in the tray. Two capture sources should be shown.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Hmmm i tried a bit last night until I was to tired.
But still no luck.
The PVR500 with FM tuner is set as device#1 and PVR500 Tuner as device#2.
Used the utility to see wich one is first and so on.
In tray icon the "show tuners" shows that no.1 is recording and no.2 is sleeping when i try to see something live while recording.
But I get the "there is no other bla bla bla" conflict.

Also tried to switch device no. 1 to 2 and 2 to 1.

I have a PAL WinTV PVR500, the tuners got these numbers 23559LF rev E696.
Card seems "old" it got the 2004 © on it.
Latest drivers from maj 2. 2007. http://www.hauppauge.se/pages/support/new_xpvista.html
And latest GBPVR of course Wink

Any suggestions are appreciated, before I give up and return the card.

Thanks

have a look in device manager and see if there is a error code
i have had a pvr 500 for about 2 yrs always causes problems tried all sorts of drivers etc
the only way to get both tuners to work is to shut machine down turn of power at wall hit power on button.
Then turn it back on at wall ,fire the machine back up and it all works until the machine gets restarted then i have to do it all over
Sometime i have to actually totally remove the card from the machine
Anyway try that see what happens

Hello Sub.

I wrote everything in this thread also incl. some logs.
http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=8
Would be great if you could solve the problem.
Thanks

To: stustunz
Don't think thats the problem, because I tried with SageTV Trial just to see if it was the card, but in Sage the 2 tuners works fine (without turning pc of etc.), but Sage program is crappy quality and it costs hehe.
See other thread linked above.
But thanks for suggestion.

1. no problem with recording. I can record and play it after.
2. i cant record one channel and see/record another chennel at same time.
3. i can record a channel and play an already recorded video file at same time.

I deleted all channels in the tuners and reentered 2 channels in each.
F.ex.
Cha1 (1)
Cha2 (1)
in tuner 1

Cha1 (2)
Cha2 (2)
in tuner 2

And when changing channels with arrow up i see that the channels goes from Cha1-2 in tuner1 to Cha1-2 in tuner2 without problems.

When i push CTRL+K and start a recording, then I push ESC or right mouseclick to get back in the menu so i can choose Live TV again, but it seems that it stays in same tuner.
Because i can't switch channels when its recording.
Is there a way to change channels so it goes to other tuner channels?
Made some screenshots:
ss_pack

Is it possible to set the recording quality to High Quality as default for all sources?
I know that when using manual recording i can choose, wich quality, but it seems that when pushing CTRL+K in livetv to start recording, it records with medium quali.

You can change the settings for the recording profiles in gbpvr-config-captsoure-directrecplugin.

Another question: how many tuners do you have?
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.
