Hello,

I have having trouble with the recording service silently stopping mid-record. This is on my AthlonXP 2200, HVR-1600, ATI X1300, overlay video, dvr-ms mux on ATSC recordings.

Logs are attached, restarting the recording service restores functionality, but I've had this happen a few times and missed recordings. I do not run any anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall or anti-firewall.

I also noticed the following in the event log at the same time as the failed recordings.

Source: .NET Runtime 2.0 Error
Faulting application gbpvrrecordingservice.exe, version 1.0.2614.27227, stamp 00000009, faulting module psiparser.ax, version 0.1.0.0, stamp 45be4d97, debug? 0, fault address 0x0000c5c7.

Thanks,
Squid

Is there any error message in the Windows Event Viewer indicating the recording service crashed?

Yes, I shouldn't edit my post while you are reading it.

You could try setting <BDAUsePsiParser>false</BDAUsePsiParser> in config.xml, but you'll need to remember to set it back to 'true' next time you need to scan for channels.

Squid,

Is it always happening on the same channels but not on others?
