I'm not sure how to describe my issue but here goes.
I'm using the pvr-350 tv-out which works fine except that when I exit GBPVR the last frame of whatever was being viewed (live TV, Video or Main Menu) stays on the TV screen. It's like a frozen image but my system is not frozen.
If I was to restart GBPVR all is fine and I can navigate etc no problems.
If I exit GBPVR and run any other program like WinTV2000 (live tv), the GBPVR last frame image stays on the TV screen and the WinTV2000 is running 'behind' it. It's like the GBPVR image is overlayed on top of any other image.
I can see the edges of the live tv (underneath) as the GBPVR output image does not take up the whole screen.
It's like the image does not get 'flushed' from the system when GBPVR exits.
I've tried disconnecting the s-video cable but it's still there when I reconnect.
The only way to 'flush' the image off the screen is by rebooting the computer which is not something I want to have to do all the time.
I have tried other software like Sage etc and when I exit those the TV screen goes black like you would expect.
Does anyone have or had a simular experience?

thanks
Paul

one thing you could try is to use the latest drivers over from shspvr.com (download 350 driver here). this may help.

or maybe you can try to get devcon from microsoft and restart the device (check out this thread for more information).

BUT: the tv out of the 350 has always a been a little... weird... some parts of gbpvr have been coded specially for the tv out of that card.
this is much effort for sub which he no longer can take. since quite some versions, the tv out of the 350 is no longer 'officially supported'. it still works, but sub does not test if new features work with the tv out.

This may sound obvious, but check the Video card drivers....

When I built my 1st computer the only program my wife used was Printmaster, at the time I was using an Orchid 1mb PCI Video Card. When ever we ran Printmaster the screen would appear frozen, but if I moved the mouse and pressed keys on the keyboard I could hear windows activating things in the background. Very similar to what you describe.

My solution was to find what chip-set the video card was using - which was S3virge, so I went and pulled the drivers from their site and the problem never surfaced again.

I'd assume your using an Nvidia or ATI based card, just go to the appropriate site and pull down their latest drivers and see how it works out.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm not using the video card as tv out (pvr-350).
And eveything is fine on the computer screen it's on the TV screen that I am having issues.

thanks again...

Graphics cards have multiple planes that get blended together to create the final output. It sounds like one of the planes has an image in it and it is still active somehow. Resetting the driver made no difference?

I haven't had this specific problem but when I have had an overlay corruption, I momentarily switch the Windows color depth from 16bit to 32bit (or vice versa). Actually I set it to change then cancel after it asks if I want to keep the setting. I sometimes get an "invisible" leftover image from a MyHD tuner card and/or a Hollywood Plus DVD decoder. (There's nothing visible until a new overlay is placed over the old location, then they mix together)

Trouble is the problem is with the 350 and not with windows.
