Hi, I'm new to these forums, but I've been using GB-PVR for about 2-3 months now since the trial on Beyond TV ran out, and so far I'm pretty happy.

Anyways, I'm running an X1300 and I have a DVI output to a 22" WS LCD for my primary monitor, then s-video to a 24" TV as extended desktop.

In config when I choose "start on second monitor" it doesn't do anything, and GBPVR still starts on my LCD. I have to choose "open in windowed mode" and then maximize it on the TV.

How an I make it open to full screen mode on the TV automatically?

Thanks.

Its worth noting that the 'start on second monitor' setting only works if the TV is configured to be on the right of primary monitor.

I had the TV oriented to the left, so I just switched it, changed the settings in GB-PVR and its still starting the application on my main monitor.

Is there a way I can manually ensure that its choosing the correct monitor (edit a config file)?

Sorry, thats the only ting I could think of.

I'm curious though, what is the resolution you're running on your primary monitor?

My primary monitor is a 22" Viewsonic widescreen, the native resolution is 1680x1050. When I run GB-PVR on that monitor it looks pretty bad vs. when I run it to the TV which is a 24" CRT TV running at 1024x768.

The reason I ask about the resolution is I suspect your problem relates indirectly to the resolution. I suspect if your TV is configured to be one the right, and your left monitor resolution is temporarily set to something like 1280x720, then it'll probably work. Yeah its ugly, and not a fix, but it'll be interesting to know if that does indeed start it on the correct monitor.

So the issue may be related to the relatively large difference in resolutions?

Hmm, where in the configuration files does it deal with this sort of thing?

Did it work with the changed resolution?

Sorry, there is no config settings that'll help with this, but if you confirm this is the case then I'll try to change it in a future release.

Hello,

I can confirm this problem. I have a very similar configuration to Satchmo. Typically, I run my primary at an eye-bleeding 1680x1050, and the TV at good ol' fashion VGA. GB-PVR won't start on the 2nd monitor, no matter what the position, until I reduce the primary resolution down a tick to 1600x1024.

After reducing the ize, it seems to start on the second monitor without issues.

Thanks,

Evan
