Can't open config

When trying to open configuration nothing happens and my PC proceeds to beep. This is the second time its happened, uninstalling and reinstalling fixed the problem temporary the first time. Recording service is running, I able to record and watch shows but can't change the config. Could adding skins cause? What else should I look for? I'm Running 99.12 on XP SP2 with a Hauppauge Dual Tuner Card 500MCE. I'm a newbie to this so bare with me. Thx

It's possible that an older skin could cause this (one which hasn't been updated for this version). Another possible cause is that you tried to edit config.xml using something like Wordpad which could cause corruption and prevent the Config app. from opening.

Try starting the Config app. then zip and attach your Config logfiles. Someone here might be able to help. If not, then sub might have an idea when he gets back from his holiday.

I loaded a bunch of skins and that's probably the problem. I uninstalled, deleted the old directory and re-installed. Lets see what happens.
