GBPVR more reponsive

Hi,

Can anyone share after some months you encountered GBPVR become more sluggish and hang sometime when try to watch TV during recording and some other problems that seems GBPVR trying to load big junk of files or anything like this? But after reinstalling GBPVR on new folders it seems to be more responsive and quick. Any explanation to this? Thanks.

Are you still using the msacces database? SUB introduced the SQLite database because of this. If so use the changedatabase.exe utility in the GBPVR folder to convert the database and switch to SQlite.

I am currently running GBPVR 99.12. Do I still need to change the database to SQlite or just leave it alone? Thanks.

You could check if there is a gbpvr.db3 in your gbpvr-dir, dated recently, that would mean you are already using sqllite. If not it's probably wise to run the changedatabase utility. Probably backup gbpvr.mdb and config.xml first.

yea, i changed databases on HTPC1 a week ago or so and its much faster.
