I'm new to the PVR sceen but not to online forums so this question does not come without first doing a search and reviewing answers to other people's ATI questions. My problem is I don't understand filters and stuff like that so the responses I've read have only confused me more.

I have an "old PC" 1.14Ghz, 512MB ram running windows XP with an ATI all in wonder pro 9600 series card. That's about it. I know I could do with more RAM but it's just going to be a PVR, nothing more.

I've tried two things, but again I don't know what I'm doing. I added this stuff into my direct.ini file

[ATI All in Wonder 9600 Series ]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=ATI MPEG Multiplexer
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I ran the filter check thing, see attached.

I can't view any live TV through the software and while it says it's recording something it's not. I've read about some unsupported plugin's people are using but haven't tried them. I thought I should stop before I do anything else and ask.

I'm really impressed by the support and response time on these forums so I'm hoping after a few weeks an answer might be in sight.

Please help!

Sorry, this device wont work with GB-PVR. It lacks the hardware MPEG2 encoder which is required with analog cards.

Is there any software that will work with it? Perhaps I can sell it on ebay and buy one that does? What do you recommend if I choose the eBay option?

For analog cards, most people go with either a Hauppauge PVR150 or ATI550. In the US a HVR1600 is also a good choice, since its a bit more future proofed - giving you digital recording abilities also.
