yeah it does work, however it doesnt run whilst the program is still recording. once its finished recording gbpvr will automatically run comskip if its found in the gbpvr root directory and theres no postprocessing.bat file (otherwise that bat will run).

Yeah I have a copy of it running right now but I was just wondering if I could run the latest and greatest version and if there was any advantage versus the version I'm currently running.

there wouldnt be much advantage in running the latest version, i think the only thing that has changed recently was the ability to run comskip while still recording, but as i said, gbpvr doesnt support this yet. but still you should have the latest version, just dont bother rerunning it with every file.

Hi,
You can download the latest version via: http://forums.freytechnologies.com/forums....unt=424. [edit] Look at the bottom of this page. There's a link to the latest version [/edit] The current version is 0.64. Runs great! Only things I've changed in the ini file are the maximum commercial length (310 to 510 or so, Dutch commercial breaks are long :-( Â and the play nice times. That way it will not heat up my processor and make the fan turn faster during nice evenings at home... Greetz, MaBo

Does anyone know if the dev of comskip is looking to enhance the product? I have one show X-Men that comskip gets all wrong.
Nonetheless... I love comskip- I just wish we can have it in real time.

Different shows have different responses from comskip. Â It's all dependent upon the settings in the .ini file for comskip and the way the show, TV network, etc. works. Â Sometimes, you have to tweak the settings to get it to work right with a certain show.
Also, note that the most current version of the comskip files can usually be found here, as is my understanding.

Cheers, Brian

you can run comskip with the -n option then it will not take up 90% of the CPU and keep your case cooler but it will take longer. -n is the option to run it in a nice mode a lower priority.
I use it all the time so I can record and watch and do other functions at the same time.
