Recordings skip forward during playback?

I'm having problems during playback of recorded tv. Occasionally it will skip forward anywhere from 30 seconds to 2-3 minutes. If I rewind to where it was, it generally plays through the skipped section.

When playing the recordings with VLC there are no skips, so I'm assuming this has something to do with PVRX2.

It doesn't look like it has anything to do with comskip - the skips don't generally occur during or near the commercials, and I have the auto-skip feature turned off.

I've attached my logs if anyone has a minute to give me a hand.

The machine is a P4 3.0HT, 1GB Ram, Sapphire Theatrix 550Pro. Using the MPA MPV decoders that Sub has suggested in other threads.

Thanks in advance.

It might be to do with the 'C-Media Wave Device' audio renderer you're using. Try setting it back to the 'system default' audio renderer.

Ok, thanks Sub, I'll give that a try.

I tried playing with the decoders, but didn't think to try the renderer.

Looks like I may have posted my question without having a good enough look at the recordings in another app.

Everywhere that GB-PVR skips forward, the file does, in fact, have some problems.

Attached is an image of the recording problem.

Probably 70-80% of the recording is fine, it's just these short 3-4 second spots where I get the blocking seen in the attached image.

Any ideas?

Yeah, that looks like signal problems.
