Been trying like mad to get gbpvr to work but it says it doesn't find a compatible BDA driver. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Also can I use this program for s-video as well?

Can you run FilterCheck then attach the resulting FilterCheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Unfortunately not with that device - it lacks the hardware MPEG2 encoder that is required with analog devices.

Sorry if I didn't mention this but this is installed in Vista. When I ran the filter I got an exception error. As far as s-video goes would the Hauppauge HVR-1600 work?

I'm not really sure what to suggest then. I've never seen that simple utility fail for anyone.

Hmmm are you supposed to have gbpvr running at the time of running the utility?

That should ok, but probably worth trying it when GB-PVR or other apps arent using it.

FWIW, I noticed I had to add the following entry to the BDA.ini to get my FusionHDTV5 RT Gold to work with the newer drivers. Apparently, DVICO changed some of the names when they started making Vista/x64 compatible drivers.

[Fusion HDTV5 RT Gold (ATSC)]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner1
FILTER_CAPTURE=FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture1
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Hope that helps,

I already had that same entry in my master bda.ini. Some one else must have posted this in the last few weeks. Sorry for not remembering.
