Hey guys,
I am a newbie to the whole "watching TV on a computer" and I had a few questions to catch up the whole idea. Before I start with my questions here is some info on my setup:
Located in Queens, NY
4.2 gig intel 4 processor
Leadtek Nvidia 6800 video card with latest drivers
Nvidia Decoder installed
hauppauge PVR150MCE card with beta drivers which came with the MCE remote.
Time warner cable at home but direct connection to the PVR card without the cable box. Just brought a coaxial cable into my room through the splitter from the main cable before the box.
Questions:
1) The TV listings I get from zap2go do not match the channels I get. I understand that is because I am not using a cable box and that I have to just match them up manually through the capture source>channel tab. correct?
2) Is it possible for me to get HDTV signal and view on my monitor? If not what else would I need?
3) Am I missing something? Do I need anything else to get more channels with the current setup without getting an extra cable box?
Thanks all, I would appreciate if someone can help me answer these questions!
