I have problem with HDTV. I can watch live tv with almost ok performance only minor stutter, but that can be due to my equipment. AMD 64 3000+ with onboard 6150 graphics.
However when I try to view a recorded program the result is very bad. The display is corrupt and I can barely see what it is showing.
I another thread you mentionend that HDTVPump should be used, however when using that nothing shows and if I try to render the recording in graphedit it fails due to error in HDTVPump.
Enclosed is a log from viewing both livetv and a recorded show.
Regards
Oscar

Sorry, but the SVT-HD stuff is entirely different to the HD stuff that has been discussed on this forum in the past. It is MPEG4 based (H.264), rather than the MPEG2 based HD used by most of the users here (USA/Australia users).

Its unlikely you'll get good performance out of it, until such a time that I access to these sorts of broadcasts.

That said, I cant playback these sorts of files. The picture is very clear, but it sometimes has stutters and skipped frames.

A couple of differences in my I have when I play the files are - I user 'Default DirectSound Device', 'MPEG-2 Demultiplexer' instead of the Cyberlink Demux.

Is the problem in the recording or the playback of the HDTV. That is, can I still use gbpvr to record the hd shows and then use some other software to view it for the time being.
It is only a couple of shows per week anyway. Hopefully it will then be sorted out when more regular boradcast startsWink
Or is the problem with how the ts file is recorded. This is new stuff for me so I am not realy sure how it works.
Thanks four your support and patience

I dont really know. We dont have these sorts of broadcasts in my part of the world, so its not something I've tested.

Try playing a recording in some other player to see what happens. (app like vlc)

We due to start having this type of MPEG4 DVB-T broadcasts here in New Zealand in about Feb 2008, so GB-PVR support for it should improve around then.
