Sub. Question on FM radio Stream output.

Hi sub,
I've been having problems with getting FM radio working and have been playing with Graphedit and can see the problem but need to find that next step to fix it.

I can see that the audio output goes to a file gbnetradio-2.2.mp3, this maybe the wat a stream plays for Netradio I dunno. But it's not working as an output for FM radio.

If I change that using graph edit and output the stream to the Default direct sound device, bingo radio works perfect.

My question is, how do I make that change permanant in Gbpvr. How can I stop the audio stream ending up in a file and re-direct it to an audio rendering device.

There are some situations where it uses a gbnetradio file, and some where it goes to the directsound device. Depends on the client type. Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs aand I'll see if I can see why it isnt working for you.

(BTW, .grf files are not portable between machines, so there is no way I'd be able to open these files).

Kinda makes sense that the .grf files aren't portable...oops...


Guess I was kinda hoping the fix was as easy a "you change it this way". Guess not.

When you're using the FM radio in a setup like yours, it needs the LAME audio encoder to be installed (http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/directsho..._dshow.zip)

Alternatively, to use a directsound renderer, try setting <ForceFMBufferingMode>false</ForceFMBufferingMode> in config.xml. You currently have it set to 'true'. The default is 'false'.

It was the buffering, don't know why it was changed from the default.
