Thanks,

I don't recall it having plugs, but I will have to wait to look at it until tonight.

Bye the way, hello to a fellow Minnesotan from a fellow Minnesotan Smile ...where abouts are you located? I am in Lino Lakes (just north of st. paul/minneapolis if you do not know the suburbs in detail).

linene - thanks for the reply! Look forward to what find out re. the jack for the IR blaster on this card's IR receiver.

You're right, I'm not very familiar with all of the suburbs near the metro, although if I remember right, I may have seen signs on 35 while driving to Duluth area couple times. The funny thing is I have actually met some people from these forums by chance in the metro area. For instance, I met a fellow forum member while in the Microcenter in St Louis Park. We were both trying to figure out which tuner card to buy (what else? Wink ). I guess there are quite a few forum members from MN/twin cities area than one might think (atleast more than I initially thought Rolleyes ). Nonetheless, its good to see a fellow Minnesotan.

Cheers,
-Topper

got one of these too from 3btech. the program that comes on the CD (2.64 build 02a) is surprisingly good! it actually has closed captioning and you can set the priority of the task (so that the image doesnt stutter when multitasking). it also has EPG so you can see about 2 days of programming (coming from the network not downloaded from the net) takes up 5% CPU for SDTV and 25-30% for HDTV - same as my other "lite" program from watchhdtv.net. the program also works with my other USB tuner HVR 950. on the down side, the program defaults to the USB tuner if inserted and only goes to the PCI card when i remove the USB.
didnt try analog yet but i must say i'm impressed with the card, software and price for now at least.Cool

note however that the tv watching program on the web site ver 3.2 is really bad, takes up 100% of CPU, stutters all the time and apprently ignores the directx drivers of the ATI card even when clicking on the DxVA accelerator setting.

just wondering how difficult it would be to add CC to the GBPVR software since it doesnt appear to be card specific.Smile

been using my TwinHan 3250 and am mostly happy with it. however signal isn't as great as the USB HVR 950. they are both on the same antenna and going through a good quality splitter.
the other thing that's bad about this is that it doesnt always wake up properly from standby when gbpvr wants to record. logs showed good signal so assumed the card needs a restart from time to time. i'm now using GBPVRWake devcon and wake.cmd together with gbpvr so i hope resetting the card and restarting the service before every recording will stop making 0kb size files.
