Hey, does anyone know any good software for edting/converting the dvr-ms files that gb-pvr records into? When I used xp media center, I used to use the programs from here:

http://thegreenbutton.com/files/default.aspx

but they don't work with the files that gb-pvr creates

Thanks in advance for anyone who helps Smile

What kind of source are you using (Freeview, sat NTL etc)?

Depending on your kit and setup if you change your MUX to cyberlink or ATI you may be able to set GB-PVR to record to MPG.

McBain's got a good point. Why bother recording in dvr-ms and converting, when you can get native mpg recordings using the cyberlink or other mux?

After getting my DVB-T card, I know I didn't care for the first little while with dvr-ms and then all the hassle with converting/getting the proper tools etc. It was just a relief when I found a suitable MUX for native MPG. It's just much easier, and the tools U used to use keeps on working ... Wink

I use Video- Redo for conversion (has a batch mode and a good log file if you are looking for problems) and Womble for editing (fastest file scrubbing I know of).

I recorded in DVR-MS because I found this to be the most stable, the Cyberlink mux had too many glitches. However now that I have upgraded the mobo I may have another look at mpg except that running the DVR-ms through Video Redo also fixes up any lip sync issues.
