Have you tried setting the renderer to overlay rather than custom?
Also, try removing ffdshow altogether.
It these 2 steps don;t work, you will need to install graphedit (search forum or web) to enable you to view the lastgraph.grf file created by gbpvr. This will show you what filters are being used by gbpvr. It may be that gbpvr is choosing different ones to the ones being used by WMP.
you find out what filters you have installed (and change their merit/priority) by downloading a filter manager such as this one
