Well after my failed attempt in the early hours of this morning, I put my 500 back in the machine this afternoon and took out my 350 (I deleted the 350 driver from Device Manager before shutting the machine down to remove the card, and also removed the capture source for it in Config.exe).
The 500 installs fine and I see the two tuners in Device Manager. I setup two capture sources for the tuners (#1 & #2) and did the usual with the EPGs etc. etc. All looked fine.
I then scheduled two recordings to start at 6pm as a test. GB-PVR seemed to go through the motions (it created the folders for the two shows) but the systray icon sat at red and when I brought it up it said both sources were sleeping.
I tried all manner of recording attempts - sheduled one at a time, manual recording (one or two at a time) still nothing. Going to Live TV causes the assertion failure in the recording services as mentioned in various posts (Line 52, dbgdel.cpp etc.).
I'm using XP Pro, not MCE, but using the MCE drivers for the 500 which seem to install fine. Can anybody suggest anthing for getting a 500 working? Please?
Cheers,
Brian
