Hi folkes,
I've been struggling with my computer for the last 14 days and is now so excursed that Iâ am making this post in the hope that one of you could throw me a bone or a good tip, so it's possible to get the picture with sound too :-)
On my old hard drive everything picture and sound worked perfectly.
The problem came after formatting and installing my new sata hard drive everything works perfect, EXCEPT thereâs no sound in GB-PVR, and it is only in GB-PVR it's missing. If I play a DVD on the computer from e.g. PowerDVD everything is perfect, if I take the exact same DVD and play it through GB-PVR, the picture is perfect but absolutely no sound. The no sound problem is
everywhere in GB-PVR, Live TV, Recorded TV, DVD and so on.
The system I'am running on is a Pentium 4, 2,4 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 2 X 300 GB SATA Harddrive, ASUS V6600 Deluxe GeForce 256, ASUS P4S800D-X Motherboard, Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-500MCE TV-tunercard, running Windows 2000 SP4.
It is a completely new and clean installation of Windows 2000 SP4 I've tried to install GB-PVR 0.98.13 from (GBPVR09813.msi)
The Procedure I used is:
01. Installation of DirectX 9.0c
02. Installation of driver for the TV-tunercard, from '051024_Amity2 2.0.35.23297.PreRelease.zip'
03. Installation of Windows Media Player 9 series
04. Installation of Cyberlink PowerDVD Deluxe Advanced Edition v7.0 Multilingual
05. Installation of Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable (v2) - Danish
06. Installation of Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0
07. Installation of Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 SP1
08. Installation of GB-PVR
09. Installation of XMLTV
10. Configurering of GB-PVR
I have tried the trick with holding down the right arrow, still no sound.
The driver Iâ am using is exactly the same (Amity2 2.0.35.23297) as last time it worked. I've also tried the latest drivers there seemed to be for windows 2000, '051214 Amity2 2.0.35.23348.3264 (WHQL Signed).zip' but that didn't bring back any sound either.
I also tried clicking "BDA Mux Checker" and saw that it said that there wasnât any Multiplex filters on the machine, so I installed "InterVideo WinDVD Recorder 5" as it seemed that GB-PVR used it on the old GB-PVR 0.96.8 edition I got it to work with last time it worked.
The PCI slot I got it working with last time is exactly the same as Iâ am using now (the card hasn't been moved).
As I've seen in many of the other post's people are getting asked to post their log files so I have included them in this post as well. Both from the first time when I got it working (â(v0.96.8) GBPVR.exe.logâ and â(v0.96.8) GBPVR.exe-native.logâ) and now from the current installation where thereâs no sound in GB-PVR (â(v0.98.13) GBPVR.exe.logâ and â(v0.98.13) GBPVR.exe-native.logâ) .
Yours sincerely and thanks in advance
