I have searched and could not find anything on this. I just built a new HTPC and installed a fresh copy of XP. It is fully updated with the newest patches and SP2. I then installed the latest version of GB-PVR. A fresh install as well. Everything works ok except that after the PC has been dormant for awhile. GB-PVR will be very slow to open and not run right. Very sluggish and un-responsive. When I back out of it, I get an error message saying that GB-PVR has encountered a problem and needs to close. The only fix I have found so far is to re-start the recording service. Then GB-PVR runs great and all is well until the PC isn't used again for a few hours then the process starts all over. Hibernation is not enabled. I have the PC set to go into suspend after 2 hours. Thanks for the help.

perhaps it's the Memory leak when using the VMR9 Custom or VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive video renderer

Thanks for taking a look. Attached the log folder. I tried the mem fix over the weekend. Didn't help, but thanks for the suggestion.

In those logs, what was an approximate time you were having this problem - so I can narrow down where to look.

the logs don;t reveal anything to my untrained eye.
Are these logs from the time that the problem reproduced?
Are there any errors in the other (gbpvr/native.exe) logs?
are there any errors in the windows event viewer?
is your memory usage growing?
Can you confirm that the cpu load is normal.

Does it do this after a fresh boot but before going into standby or only after coming out of standby? Sorry but it wasn't clear to me from your description.

delete all the logs.
set error logging to debug in config.exe
reproduce the problem
upload ALL of the logs

Could be it be related to the suspend/standby happening after 2 hours? I know that when my HTPC went in to standby mode, the TV tuner, (MAUI I,) would not respond when coming out of suspend/standby, causing all sorts of problems. I ended up having to disable standby all together.

Thanks for helping guys. The latest log file was the one from right after the event. I included the entire log folder since installation. I will delete all the logs tonight and then start GB in the morning to induce the problem and then upload the new logs. Thanks.

I tried turning standby off. Didn't seem to help. The only thing that works is to either reboot windows or restart the recording service.
