I've had a titan account for years. My login info is stored in a cookie I assume. How do i go about finding my UUID so I can test the apps when you release them?

Also i don't think you need to have a haup card. Go to http://www.titantv.com and there is a place for new users to sign up.

For what it is worth - there ARE threads on the Titan forums about making the service work with Canadian channel lineups.

Not quick and easy by any means, but it appears to be an option.

It is in your registry and only if you register with the app, not from the web site.

Ioan - i started the process of customizing the titan Tv account to my Canadian listing (manually... Sad )
I am saving my "correct" lineup in the "Favorites". Can you control where you get the lineup from with the SOAP interface?
* Rogers Analog Cable [Canada]
* Hauppauge WintTV PVR USB2
* IBM Thinkpad T42 / 1GB Mem / Centrino 1.6Ghz / 60GB HD / ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 + VGA/DVI out
* MCE Remote + Keyboard
* Win XP SP2 / GBPVR [Latest version. always]
* Pioneer HDTV via VGA (1360x768)
* MS Remote Keyboard
* Logitech Harmony 880 [via MS Remote Control Reciever]

UncleJohnsBand Wrote:You may want to be cautious with that since it legally belongs to someone.....if Titan wacks their account for excessive use it would not be hard to track down originating IP's that are using the UUID.....

That is the main reason I have yet to release my flavor of the same tool....

......coupled with a couple of data bugs I am working through.....

UJB, if you want I can give you my UUID to test with. I know I could trust you completely with it and that you wouldn't release it to anyone. PM me if you want it.

I tried using the UUID from the registry and it fails with invalid UUID when I try to download program info.
The UUID that Smoker posted a while back does work though. Unless anyone else is having better luck, I don't think these UUIDs are valid for downloading program info.

Did anyone tried to see if the xmltv file I made works with gbpvr? My pvr is down now and I cant test, but I want to finish this application and some tests from future users will be welcome.
Here is the file again:

What an understatement Smile...
I gave it a shot. I even wrote some Au3 script to automate inserting favorite channels from an excel file I made from my tv_grab_na_dd.
about 50% of channels give me "no match found", 25% are the wrong ones, and maybe 25% give me correct listing.

I could live without few (or even a lot, if they are the less interesting ones) channels.
I could live with some manual, initiation step.

But this is too much - I don't think the Titan TV is going to work for Canadian users, at least not ones that use local Cable providers. Maybe it's different when talking about OTA or SAT.
