Hello,

Fot thos interested in the orininal problem: Black live-TV on a Win-XP dutch version. You can find the solution here:

http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin....;t=3389

It's a problem in direct.ini. After changing this file Live-tv and also the tuning-assistant work perfect.

No joy. I checked out graphedit with an MPEG file and it was pretty straightforward - mpeg file to demux to mpeg decoder to video renderer. Anything there to tweak?

I've also tried watching previously-recorded MPEG2 files and they exhibit the same behavior.

The Tuning Assistant shows the live TV channels and doesn't blank out.

Okay, it's down to the MPEG video rendering in GBPVR:

- I can use WinTV2000 to watch TV and it's fine (thus not the tuner card).
- I can watch a previously-recorded MPEG file in WMP on the box and it's fine (thus not the video card or rendering engine).

Why can't I do this in GBPVR??

Okay, I downloaded the PowerDVD demo version and was able to use their MPEG decoder. Live TV and MPEG video from disk both seem to work fine.
