export takes the show information and exports it to a file called showname.dat

When you archive it just moves the file + comskip + exported dat to the archive folder.

When you use xvideo if there is a dat file we maintain all of the show info. Date + Time + Title + subtitle + description + channel etc....

I go to http://www.imdb.com to get icons. Just search for you show and save it as a jpg in the art directory under gbpvr. If the show has any characters like : / \\ ' etc.. Just remove those. Maintain the spaces though.

The next release I am going to attempt to download them from imdb for you if you select a button from a popup.

First of all, Good Job!
I've been playing around with the latest xrecord, especially for the avi support. It seems great.

I have one question. For some reason all videos seem to play in the top 1/2 of my screen only using my Media MVP.

Got any ideas?

Thanks!

The video archive plug-in includes two standalone utilities to fetch icons, once for TV shows stored in your recordings directory(ies) and one for DVDs stored in your DVDs directory(ies). You would have to configure the video archice plug-in to have the same path setup as xrecord, but once you did, you could run the standalone utilites to fetch the images (and not even use the video archive plug-in if you don't want to).

Jeff,

The one thing I was trying to find out about your executable is does it pull down pending shows as well as recorded shows.

I wrote some code that parses the imdb page and gets the id and downloads the picture if it exists. Obviously if your executable would work for both pending, and ready I will just use that.

Thanks for your replies.

I understand (now) that they need to be converted from PAL to NTSC? but how did they get converted to PAL in the first place? Forgive my ignorance.

For instance with Hauppauge's "server" software it is able to play the files in the same res as I encoded them.

I use DVD Decrypter > AUTO GK to encode my DVDS to AVI. I was assuming that
this would all be NTSC?

Thanks for you help. I'm trying get this all figured out.
There's a lot to learn!

.... thinking I need to boot hauppage server and config to use NTSC output ...
Need to check on that.

Guys,

Just a little help please (and KILLER plugin ...) I am about 48 hours into a major crash session with GBpvr and the plugins are awesome, sorry for these dumb questions but I will make them brief:

1) For Xrecordings - I've installed - all is working - but its only picking up those current shows (not all of the contents in my recording folders). I am assuming that GBpvr has a cross reference database - and if I uninstalled - I need to get this current with the folders and shows that exist? Ideas?

2) Does the IMAGE just need to match the folder name? LOVE THIS FEATURE.... Only PVR app in my mind in the works doing this well thanks to this plugin.

3) I've seen (but not messed much with the IMDB import plugins, and use Xlobby now. What is the best route for me to import my .ISO's - tag/library them - then mount/play. I see the built in support for Daemon tools which is awesome?

Guys - thanks a ton if you can offer ---- MUCH APPRECIATED.

glad you like it.

1) Ready reads the shows out of the database. You can change to xvidepath1 in the skin to point to the same directory that will show you all of the files.

2) It is the title of the show without all of the funny characters. / ? : \ probably the same as the name. If you have any problems I can help you get the name for a given show. In the next release there will be a button to auto download the show image from imdb and store it for you. Along with finding related shows. If you like this show you will also like this one.
