Great - thanks a lot jorm - I will start playing with it immediately!

cheers,
tieke

[EDIT] Looks good - just one question: whereabouts in the Xrecord skin is the "Continue" position controlled? I'm pretty sure I have moved it in the past, but can't remember how I did it Smile

Glad it is working well. Continue can be moved by moving the search element
<SpecialElement name="SearchControl" loc="50,40"/>

It is not really configurable though. I need to fix it.

.mpg.dat files started showing up in my recording subdirectories about the time I upgraded to version .45 of Xrecord and I can't think of anything else that would have changed. I normally only use Xrecord to access my archived shows. The mpg.dat files are not being deleted when I delete using the standard record function as I normally do.

Are these being generated by Xrecord, or is there something else going on?

Dear Jorm,

thanx for XRecords.
But I have a question: When I archive a show on another disk it does not tell me when copying is finished. Could You add something for this?

Does X-Record support the archiving of multiple files simultaneously?

Never tried it but I think it should. Each in its own thread.

I will try to add a completed box

I will also look in the code and find out why mpeg.dat are not being deleted.

It does not remove the recording from the Ready list until it is done moving it, as far as I can tell. That's how I know its done.

I've done this several times - it works fine but if you're on a low-end machine beware - it can max out CPU or memory or maybe even disk I/O if a recording is in progress and you queue up several archive actions.... and cause frame drops in the current recording.

Personally, I'd prefer an option to *not* have multiple archive requests process at the same time - for my hardware it would be better if they happened all in the same thread, and at a low priority - I'd still like to be able to queue up a bunch of archive actions, but I really don't need them all to happen at once, nor as fast as possible Big Grin
