MusicLibrary2 - Version 6.2 - PVRX2 Compatible

Hi

Just released the 6.2 version of ML2. Please see the history on http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/MusicLibrary2

I wont list all the changes here.

While this version will work in PVRX2 1.0.8 it is not written for it. I.e. uses the old drawing system.

A new Music Library (MusicLibrary3) will be coming out sometime in the future.

Use this thread for any problems.

Can't get this to work with version 99.12. It gets installed in \plugins\MusicLbrary2. The config application does not see that. If I move the contents of that directory to \plugins\, the configurator complains, and also all the other plugins are no longer visible in the configurator. So I will return to 5.4.

Don't move it to \Plugins, copy it, it "should" work.

But none of my machines are 99.x any more unfortuneately.

I just tried it, seems to work ok (this is on the server), 1 thing I noticed however:
- When I do a search in the search window (ctrl-k) while I'm playing a song the search results only show very briefly. If I stop the playing everything is fine. When I start a song from the search results, the screen goes empty right away, when I click the arrow keys it will show very briefly.
I hope you get what I mean.
I noticed the play-button now works in the playlist screen aswell.
I'll try it out on the mvp later.

Don't move it to \Plugins, copy it, it "should" work.

I actually did Copy it. Should have used the proper term
I will first replace the mobo before upgrading to 1.08 and the new plugins.

Cool, definitely something I hadn't tried... I'll have a look what's causing that

How did the install go for you guys?? I was a bit unsure on that. Even more unsure on going forward. I don't want you guys to have to stop the service every time as install comes out.....or have to remove the program to install the new one (which is what happens now).

Well I did try the 6.0 and 6.1 as well. They worked nicely apart from the library buttons that I mentioned. With the problems of 6.2, I did notice I had 3 copies of musiclibrary2 installed. The installer apparantly did not notice the previous versions. The 6.2 installer does recognise it is already installed.

Because of Hans' positive experience I just tried again. According to the instructions I did copy the 2 dll files. The configurator gives the following complaint:

Maybe for you it's worth dropping (or renaming the <MusicLibrary2> and </Musiclibrary2> tags in the config.xml.

Especially if it's not loading at all. What DB were you using up until now? db3 I hope??
