wait is there a safari WS version that works in PVRX2?

no I havnt had time (nor will I this week) to go and try to get my skin updated to PVRX2. sorry, I really want to get to this, but I have been moving/ unpacking, and my parents just had a fire that destroyed the RV they just bought, along with part of one of their barns, so I will be at their house helping them all weekend... meaning no playing with GB-PVR

No horizontal menu at the moment, I've been playing with modifying Sassari for PVRX2 within the restrictions of the current version of PVRX2 however there is banding on the jpg version of the background of Sassari. Haven't tried the png version yet.

I agree with Reven, don't like the blue/green front ends so I'm playing with a much darker blue/gold version, but I need to try and do something with the TV Guide as it look particulary poor at the moment, and I'm only changing the screens that I use

I know dottore made a version of the main menu with vertical buttons, that could be updated.

about the banding, I will try to make you a nice high quality PNG version of the background with a dark blue base and gold tribal logo, I actually might think of making the tribal logo a separate image, so people can change its color at will

I am honestly terrible at graphic design but very good at tweaking other peoples skins.

What res is classed as 'high-res'? Also, if a whole skin was high res would that effect lower specd computers/screens as they would have to downscale them?

basically anything over 720x480 is referred to as high res, but if you are gonna make new skins I would design them for 1980x1080 because that is the highest TV res for the foreseeable future.

I think the tribal is a seperate image, at least it is in the PSD file that Dottore placed on the wiki

Thats the whole point of the Community Skin/Skin Plugin. If you don't like the gender confused little person you can just swap it out for an alternative.

actually yeah, their basement flooded this april... and a few other crappy things... but we wont go into that

yeah, there is a separate source file for it, but I want to break it out so it can be changed like the buttons, so the skin would include multiple backgrounds, multiple buttons, and multiple tribal logos. although the way the background is created... I could get away with just having the transparent PNG for all the highlights, then having a plain image with the background colors.. or just draw a rectangle that fills the whole screen... I may experiment with that... as it could make the skin much more customizable
