No sound on the History Channel

I've had GB-PVR working for several months now, and have been very, very happy with it. I have noticed that periodically there is no sound on the History Channel. Every other channel has sound. It's becoming more of a problem since the show Dogfights is back on. It's not the feed because I get sound on another TV in the house.

I'm using the DScalar audio codec. I also tried "system default".

Ok, I know you guys are going to think I friggin nuts. I decided to eliminate the splitter I have going to both tuner cards, in doing so the sound came back. After a little trial and error I discovered that the end of one of my cables would just pull right off. I changed the cable and now I have sound. That's the -only- thing I changed. How odd is it that a faulty cable causes no sound on only one channel?

I had choppy sound on FOX (on all 3 tuners) and it was fixed when I re-routed the coax cable.
