Old Dog, we've been using Plain Jane and AM for probably the better part of a year. Love the ease of use, included plugins, task images, multitude of backgrounds (wish there were more holiday-themed ones, though) and buttons. I've not tried to force it on the new 1.x version. Does it still work and if so, what needs to be done? If not, any chance you're working on a new version? Please!

And it will not work out of the box with 1.x
You might like to try the Community Skin. Within a week or so it should be up-to-speed with PVRX2 v1.0.x http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Skin/CommunitySkin

Off and on since November, I have even sent Old Dog PM's without any response. I hope the old guy is doing well.

I also love the Plain Jane skin. You can get the same appearance with the (also excellent) Community skin, but it takes a lot of time to get through all of those options!
Old Dog's Plain Jane was ahead of it's time.
