When I do a TV Recording and do a monitoring:

- when watch manual recording, there is sound
- I do a ctrl-o to catchup, there is NO sound
- I rewind, and after a while there is sound
- I jump back to the beginning, there is sound
- When i do a catchup again, there is NO sound

somehow there is no sound when the watching is very near real-time.

Bug ?

It'll be something to do with the audio or video decoders you're using. Try a different combination.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Ha ha... guess what. This is what I discover as I try to reproduce the problem. It takes a while from the time I press Ctrl-O to hear audio. The longer I have recorded, the longer it takes to hear the audio. Is this the correct behaviour ? I have attached the log.

I also discover this. I have 4 speakers. When I watch Live TV, the audio comes from the 2 front speakers. As I watch, I press Ctrl-K to record, then I hear audio from the rear speakers as well !

Thanks very much for your help. This is not extremely critical to me. It all start from I wonder why I can't hear the audio. You can place this as low priority. Thanks again !

There is nothing really obviously in the logs, but it is almost certainly caused by either the audio decoder or combination of audio/video decoder you're using. I'm sure you'd be able to find other combinations which do not have this problem.
