I'm not sure if it's related specificly to GB-PVR but here goes.
My setup is GB-PVR 1.08 on WinTV-PVR350.
I'm having a problem (lately) that a few minutes after starting LiveTV, the playback just stops.
Same problem when recording shows - they record a few minutes, sometime only few seconds, then stop.
I'm not even sure where to start checking first.

I'm working on a clean windows installation, with ffdshow (but tested with divx & xvid codecs installed instead - same problem).
even tried different pvr solution, like MediaPortal - same problem.
anyone ?
thanks in advance

I guess you could send the logs so someone can take a look.
My first thought was: heat, does the card run hot?

A problem like this used to be common for PVR250/350 users, with the device unexpectidly stopping producing data mid way through usage. From memory some would get this if your PC was sharing the PVR card interrupt with another device. Also, some owners of some Via chipset motherboards had DMA problems with these cards that would cause a similar result.

where can i find the logs ?
b.t.w. - everything ran fine on my original setup (Asus M2A-VM HDMI with AMD X2 3800+ and Hauppauge WinTV350) using version 0.99.12. been using FFDShow for codecs...
then i've bought an ATI x1950Pro for gaming proposes (single computer...) so i've reinstalled windows after the card's installation. at the same time i've noticed a new GBPVR version is out, so i've decided to try it out...
since then i've tried using DivX & xvid for codecs, with Hauppauge's MPEG2 software codec (instead of ffdshow) after seen the above problem (thank god for Norton Ghost Big Grin ) but it wasn't the problem.
p.s. - i've used to autorun RivaTuner Statistics Server OSD at the computer startup - might it be the cause of the problem ?
thanks again

the logs are in a folder under the gbpvr folder called.....logs :-)

zip and attach them all.

btw: your not using the tv out on your 350 are you?

have you tried disabling / removing rivatuner ? that;s the easiest way to check if it is part of the problem.

well, it appears it wasn't rivatuner afterall.
i had Everest sysinfo running with OSD display of temps & stats on secondary monitor. stopping Everest enabled watching tv or recordings shows.
dunno what's the connection, maybe the OSD takes over DirectX or something.
thanks anyway for the help, folks
