Hey there,

First off, I love the new interface - it's made GBPVR into a very professional looking PVR application. I've had very few problems, but here are a couple you might want to know about:

1. I can't playback recordings that are 'in progress' anymore. This problem occurs when using GBPVR.exe or PVRX2.exe. This used to work fine, recording path is the same, decoders are unchanged... Log is attached.

2. Whenever I "type in" a channel number when watching live TV, the channel will change successfully, but it's like the interface tries to re-tune the same channel a bunch of times in a row. Specifically, if I type, 2-3 (for channel 23), channel 23 will flash EXACTLY 10 times over the span of about 5 seconds before finally settling down and staying on that channel. If I change channels with the up/down keys, it does not do this. This happens ONLY with PVRX2.exe. Log is attached.

Thanks for any help!!

Can you post the PVRX2.exe-native.log for the attempt to play an in-progress recording?

I can see the other error happening in your logs, but not quite sure how its happening. I'm not able to reproduce it on any of my machines here. I'll have to think about it a bit more.

Ok, I reproduced the problem with the in-progress recording and then peeked at the 'native' log myself. It said something about the GBPVR Parser could not be found. So, i ran the reregister filters batch file... all is well now... Not sure why it didn't register the first time, but I'm rolling now.

The other problem still stands though. I deleted and re-created my recording source - but it didn't do any good. Again, this problem only exists in the new interface.

Thanks, sub, you're lightning fast.

One more tidbit of information...

The channel change wackiness doesn't seem to happen if I disable Live Preview. The channel changes are much slower, but i don't see any of the re-tuning problems or error messages in the logs.

I have the same issue with channel changes.

If I change to a two digit channel via the remote or keyboard I get stuttering. The logs appear (to my unskilled eye) to show repeated tuning to the same channel.

Changing to a one digit channel is fine.

Using channel up/down on remote is also fine for all channel numbers.

Thanks

I was never able to reproduce it here, but I have put some logic in for the next release that should hopefully stop it happening.

You can try the attached patch, but back up your original files first - I'm not 100% sure these are binary compatible with 1.0.8.

Installed the two files.

They change the symptoms of the problem. It doesn't seem to stutter quite as much on a two digit channel change but it does still stutter.

Logs attached.

Thanks for the quick response (as always).
