Remote problems with 150MCE + Nova-t 500

Have you tried the 150 on its own without the Nova-t to see if the remote will work at all then?

I can't do it. PVR150 MCE hasn't a plug-in for the remote cable.

I had problems getting my PVR-150 and Nova-T 500 working together but they both had the option to use the remote and they were fighting. A few things to try:-

Have you removed the PVR150 completely by using HWClear and installed the latest software from the hauppauge website for the Nova-T 500?

In device manager, has it installed a whole bunch of HID devices?

Have you tried creating a notepad file called debug.txt in C:\, open it up so it has focus and then pressing a few buttons on the remote, you should get some information filling out the file if the remote is talking via IR32.EXE?

I have a vague memory of experiencing problems with ir.exe with a set of drivers I downloaded not too long ago

My driver version for the device is 4.2.24318 (and ir.exe works fine) but I can't easily work out if these came with the 33c or 34beta2 drivers.

try running hwclear, reboot and install the (presumably older) drivers from the cd that you received with the card.

thank you gEd, I done what you wrote. Now (with older driver 2.5 from the CD)the romote icon doesn't appear near the clock ( I installed IR32 form the old CD too). Obviusly, remote doesn't work-
That can sugget you any idea? Why with old disk software the icone doesn't appear?

Did you get any answer to your post on the hauppague site? they are the people who are in the best position to advise.

I would set your card replaced. I think you have done enough testing.

Thank you, everybody, for your help. I can't replace the card because I bought it used. So I found another solution, that I write couse it may help somebody.

I cut the cable, solder it at 2 disode 2 resistors a capacitor and a 9 pin SUB-D connector and I used it with an old free verison of GIRDER tha you can find here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/rendus/ir_receiver_01.htm
