Sub.....
I just noticed you released 1.0.8 ( Where have I been? )

Well, I understand that you can install right over the top of GB-PVR
but should I disable the Recording Service, or leave it running.

From what I understand I must:

1. Install vcredist_x86.zip

2. Revert back to the original Theme

3. Then install GB-PVR 1.0.8

I never leave GB-PVR.exe running so that is already turned off.

My configuration:
GB-PVR: Version 1.0.8
CPU: AMD Athlon 2800+ Barton
RAM: 1 Gig Kingston (DDR)
Video Card: Geforce FX 5200 (128 DDR)
TV Tuner: SAPPHIRE Theater 550 PRO
HD: Two Maxtor 80 Gig (7200 RPM)

You shouldnt need to stop the recording service. In theory, closing GBPVR.exe then executing steps 1-3 above should do the job.

Thanks Sub.....

By the way, I've been having Hibernation problems since upgrading to 0.99.12
Will the new released 1.0.8 include all the patches / fixes for some of these issue that a few of us have experience?

I'm not aware of any issues with hibernation in 1.0.8.

There was only one bug that I was aware of in 0.99.12 that could cause hibernation problems, but a patch was provided in the 'v0.99.12 survival guide' thread (though it was specifically to address a problem relating to waking for the EPG update, it caused some problems hibernating).

Sub,
I see that you created a Patch but for some reason it will not install.
I have made a Screen Shot of the Error so maybe you could tell me
what went wrong.... thanks.....

I did long in as an Admin to administer the patch.
Also, I just double Clicked on the exe to install.

Thanks

If that patch is working for you, then you might need to upgrade to 1.0.8 instead.

Thanks Sub..... I'm going to take your advice on that and upgrade.

Are these the two files I need to back up incase I need to revert
back to 0.99.12 ?

config.xml
gbpvr.mdb

I looked for a gbpvr.db3 but I don't see that file.

The database is usually gbpvr.db3, but is gbpvr.mdb if you're still using the old database.
