I'm still using zap2it listings. I'm attaching the logs and thanking you again for your time.

Quick note, I just dropped all of my epg data and when entering gbpvr frontend I still stay pegged at 100%.

Can you try temporarily setting the remote type to something other than USB-UIRT to see if it helps?

Can you also check how big your GBPVR.db3 file is?

The database is 69 megs... the good news is changing from usb-uirt to hauppauge remote has brought the cpu usage down to ~8-10% . So at least the frontend is useable and I'm guessing my video skipping problems are probably resolved too (I'm at work vnc'ing in so I can't be certain, but the load is in the 40s while in live tv).

So the big question is, what can be done to fix my remote? Smile

There is no sign of any errors, so no good clues why its doing that. I assume you've rebooted?

Only a few hundred times in the past day and a half! Smile

My pvr computer is in a closet and I use an IR receiver/sender to access the USB-UIRT indirectly. At times I have issues with false signals (I guess from ambient light/IR) but I thought I had gotten that under control a while back. If the USB-UIRT was being overloaded by IR signals, would this bog the gbpvr frontend down like I was seeing? Do you know of a way that I can test to see if I'm receiving lots of false signals?

I feel a lot better now knowing it was hardware causing the problem.

No I dont, but you could try starting GB-PVR with your hand over the sensor to block any light to see if it helps.
