have you tried removing plugins to see if it more responsive
you are recording onto a seperate physical hard drive
check that your memory usage is not maxing out (page file under cpu usage Clt+alt+del)
try setting gbpvr to higher priority
i did notice when i added a digital tuner the cpu usage went up on mine as compared to just having a pvr150& pvr500

smoker, can you try changing channels then zip and attach the logs so I can take a look?

ok I've stopped everything and cleared out the logs dir for a clean start.

Then I started the service, started 2 recordings (tuners recording) and then switched channels with livetv.

Looking in the logs it appears to be taking less than a second to change channels. The CPU usage shown above isnt the lowest I've seen, but also not exceedingly high.
