Beginning to use this tool, I noticed that ZProcess does not keep the GB-PVR path in the Directories tab between restarts.

I can set it, but the next start of zprocess it is erased. Also from the registry and the ZProcessRegSettings.txt.
Why is this?

I'm guessing that you have a non-standard location for GB-PVR? I need more details.

Yes. On this machine, the "Program Files" folder, is called "Program".
So the path to the gbpvr.exe is
C:\Program\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVR.exe

Paths to the other tools (mencoder etc) are ok.

I can confirm that the current version of ZProcess saves the new path for GB-PVR into the registry, but does not load it when restarting...

Unfortunately, that's a glitch I can't fix. I'm sorry...

I'm currently working on ZProcess2. It will actually be less robust, and simpler to setup and use. I am currently working on On-The-Fly Transcodes for the MVP. If that's the function you need, then you will be able to try the new version very soon...

Do you know how crucial it is for zprocess to have the path? When I played an avi, zprocess kick in. Yes, the mvp playback is my prime use of it.
Getting the GB-PVR settings did not work as it could not locate the config.xml, for example.

Brilliant piece of sw. It integrates seamless into GBPVR. It produced a perfect picture on the MVP of an xvid almost "turn-key".

I would be happy to try the new versions out.

Since zprocess is some kind of wrapper around transcoding, it occurred to me it might be extended to be used to playback DVD on the MVP? Problem (today) is that DVD is not a video file you can select in the Video folder for playback. I have experimented a bit with the XDVD plugin, but it does not provide a powerful enough interface for DVDs. I was thinking of picking up that piece of code and improve... but if an integration with zprocess would be possible that might be preferred.

I have to admit, I was thinking of working DVDs into the mix. There have been a couple of solutions already, but they either didn't work more me or they didn't work for me...

We'll see
