I've just installed GBPVR v1.0.8 after running MediaPortal for a while on my HTPC with a Freecom USB DVB-T stick. Most things are going well apart from Channel 4 (UK Freeview). I've installed and reinstalled, updated, rescanned for channels, cleared and updated, but Channel 4 has a persistent empty EPG. This also means the channel is missing from the EWA.

All the other channels EPG come down fine, and the Channel 4 EPG works on my STB and MediaPortal.

Do any other users have this problem, or have any advice on a fix? I've searched the forums for a while, and found a related patch, but that was a while ago for a previous version. I'm presuming that this has been built into the current version.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I dont know if it will help but you could try bumping up the <DvbEpgHarvestDuration> setting in config.xml.

Thanks for the reply.
I did change that setting, but it reset after the reinstall, and TBH I can't remember if I did an update after setting it.
I'll have another go shortly after a record has finished. I'll try 120 seconds.

BTW Thanks for the fantastic program.

Updated EPG at 120 sec duration. Channel4 still shows (no show details) in the EPG. Is there anything else I can try? Is it worth trying a longer EPG duration?

To be honest, probably not. I suspect there is probably something funny about the Channel4 listings that GB-PVR doesnt like. Unfortunately every broadcaster seems to have a slightly different interpretation of how the DVB EPG should be implemented.

Since upgrading to v1.0.8 about 10 days ago, I too have lost ITV and Channel 4 EPG updates.
I was previously on v0.99.05 - EPG updates were fine on that....
Can't remember if ITV and Ch4 are on the same mux?

If one of you guys has access to a web server, and can make a 250MB or so full transport stream recording available (not partial transport stream recorded GB-PVR), then I'll try to fix the problem for you.

@IanD

Sorry to hear you've got the problem too, but it's good to know I'm not the only one.
I couldn't try v0.99.05 - I had the 'corrupt .msi' (probably my broken Windows Installer) problem that a few people posted about. So this version is the first I've been able to try.

@Sub

Thanks for the offer, your support on this site is fantastic. I should have about 750Mb webspace left, so time to test whether the hosting companys sales promise lives up to it's name!
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by full transport stream, but I'll do a spot of searching on the site ...

Yes, TSReader should be able to record a full transport stream. Once you get the file, PM me a URL to download it.

Thanks
