I'm a newbee to GBPVR. I have a Plextor PX-TV402U, Windows XP Pro laptop. Using default blue skin. I'm liking GBPVR much better than the SW that came with the Plextor.

Anyway, this morning I installed .90 and I'm getting verious behaviors of the sort mentioned.

First, I get an error the first time I try the TV Guide, then on subsequent tries I get shown gibberish. If I guess correctly what guide cell I'm currently on, I can use the guide to watch live TV or setup a recording.

I can also use the Live TV button to watch live TV (in time shift mode), but on a channel change things freeze for about say 4-5 seconds, the channel changes to the correct destination, I'm shown maybe a second or two of audio/video, then I'm bounced back to the main menu. After that, channel changes stop working altogether - Live TV always takes me back to the last shown channel until I restart the recording service (otherwise the above behavior remains the same).

Note that I can only watch live TV in time shifted mode (true live TV studders), which is just fine by me.

If it would be helpful for me to run a scenario and capture the associated logs, I'd be happy to do so.

Rgds,

Carver

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ] The only problem I am having is when I go to live tv or through the tv guide, I get no video only audio.  I can changes channels but the main menu stays up?  Any one having similar issues?
Hi,

I also had the problem of video not working after install, only sound. After trying different settings it seems like there is some problems with "Overlay Manager", changing to VMR7 or VMR9 everything worked as expected.

I am also curious if there is an easy way to switch to timeshifting mode even though in the config you are using Live Preview mode?

Know you of this problem and maybe a fix? If the fix is coming in your more complete up-coming release, I can hold out until then.
No, I dont know of the problem. Send your logs over and I'll take a look. support@devnz.com

Can you email a screenshot to me at support@devnz.com? I've never heard of this problem.

Sub, I don't know what happened, but after I fell back to v02313 and then re-installed the newest version, liveTV started working o.O So, I retract my earlier support request. Infernal machines ^_~

I have solved the problem described earlier in this thread (gbpvr.exe never coming up - using all system memory and cpu).

I was already using the standard Blue skin, so that was not the problem as suggested by some.

I also disabled all non-standard plugins - to no avail.

Looking at the log, I saw that it caused problems in the My Pictures plugin. I removed all the non standard plugin dll's in the plugin folder - and now 0.90 works fine...

I too am having crashes when I enable the My Pictures plugin so i've disabled it from within config and all is well (I haven't removed the .dll from the plugins folder though).

Good news for me, the problem of lost audio during program switching in LiveTV appears to be fixed. Have tested in and out of buffered mode (if that makes sense?)
As regards the problem a few people have reported going into livetv, (audio no video) I see this when the cyberlink decoder is set. If I pause and play the picture can then be seen.
With the intervideo decoder selected LiveTV behaves itself correctly.

every release is like Xmas for me. I almost left work early to try it out. As Andyh mentionend, the Lost audio when programs switched in Live TV when connected through S-Vidoe seems to be fixed. Thanks for all your hard work Sub.
