live tv size smaller than recordings

I've got my HTPC connected directly to my 50" plasma. When i watch live tv it is not completely filling the screen. Close, but not completely. When I watch recordings they completely fill the screen. What setting am I missing to have live tv fill the screen? I have tv aspect ratio set to 16:9.

I'm using "InterVideo Video Decoder" and VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive.

Can watch live tv and view a recording, then zip and attach the PVRX2.exe.log and PVRX2.exe-native.log?

I turned log level to debug, enabled log flushing and then did what you asked. Here's the logs.

Can you see if another decoder has the same problem? For example, http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

Tried that decoder, no different. The odd things is that the OSD is the right size and the stream height is ok but the width is just about 2 inches short on each side.

what happens if you set the live tv to encoder passthrough
or not if you have set to that already
or live preview

Are you using the 'Auto' aspect ratio? (accessed via the F7 key)
