If you'd just installed over the top of the previous release, you recordings and setting would have been retained. Uninstall is only required when you want to start again from scratch...

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]Is there any way I can get them listed in recordings again?
No, not now.

Install went well.

The only problem I see so far in in Live TV.  If the cursor is moved during Live TV, a haze (for lack of a better word) appears over the screen.  It goes away after a short period of time.

Sub - Thanks for cranking this out [Image: biggrin.gif]

Thanks for a GREAT PVR, I've played with GAM and MediaPortal, but GBPVR beats them both!!

nope once they are gone, they are gone. well gone from the database you can still play them from video library or any other video plugin.

Try setting the deinterlace setting on the misc tab of the config app. Try setting it to either 'encoder pass-through' or 'Deinterlacer'. These may help.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] (pcostanza @ Feb. 01 2005,18:41)]So far, after only 15 minutes of playing, just some minor problems.  Flat Blue High Vis skin won't work but the others do (probably due to all the extra plugins in that skin).
Just to note that I updated the Flat Blue High Vis skin in the wiki last night - 0.90 High Vis which should work with the new version. (Haven't played around a lot with it, but seems to work).

cheers,

(ps. sub - on your post re the skin changes, you should probably also mention the addition of the tv guide live-skin.xml file)

Just tried out the de-interlacer/pass through options... pass though doesn't allow me to display anything... says something about not being able to create an object... playing any video I have does not do anything either..

The De-interlacer shows the screens ok, but it seems to jump faster... everything still is in time.. just more jumps... (like it's skipping less frames?)

Thanks for the quick replies!

I found out the info is in an access database, and was able to add data to make it show up in the recordings list. My problem is the programme_oid is no longer there since the EPG was updated. Which brought up a question. When the EPG is updated, and there is a recording on the drive and in the database, what happens to the descriptive info when that days data is cleared out of the EPG? How/where does it keep the info for the recorded show??

Only reason I'm trying to recover some shows is my 7 year old uses GBPVR and I had some shows on there for him. Otherwise the shows are there but no descriptions.

I'd forgotten to update the main home page download link, so you're probably on the old version. The new version can be found at http://www.gbpvr.com/GBPVR0908.msi as described in the release announcement.
my apologies, what I meant was that I had been using the 2313 version and upgraded to the 908 version this morning and have tried rebooting, changing from VMR 9 to Overlay back to VMR 9, tried fresh install. But am still having the same issue of no video only sound.

Also when you exit out of GBPVR while in Live TV the Recording Service continues to record.
OK, if anyone happens to have the issue mentioned of no video only audio while watching tv, I was able to get it working when I checked off "Use Live Preview mode if possible" start Live TV exit out and the check it on and it will work.

tieke, quick work on the High Vis skin, that did the trick.
My video skipped but I noticed that my card had been reset to the PVR250 not the 350.
I played some live tv and really like the changes to the quality settings. I do notice however that after exiting GB-PVR, the recording status in the task bar is still green showing "Live TV (LivePreview Mode)". Will try to record to see what happens.

All in all, for what sub say is far from perfect, I'm a happy man.

Just got the MediaMVP and need to spend some time playing with it.
