My recording stopped recording after switching off the MVP?

I'll try and explain what I did.

  1. I had a program scheduled to record for 22:55 (ALL ENGLAND INTERNATIONALS), as I went out for dinner.
  2. I made it home in time and some minutes before 22:55 I started liveTV on the channel the show was to record on which was Billiards. This shows up in GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native-1.log
  3. I continued to watch that until ALL ENGLAND INTERNATIONALS started. It was such a chod game, so I exited GBPVR and switched off the MVP at half time (around 23:50).
  4. I went upstairs, expecting to see the green GBPVR Tray icon still recording ALL ENGLAND INTERNATIONALS. It wasn't , to my surprise???
  5. I restarted the recording service and it taped the 2nd half.

Did I press something by mistake, was it because I JUST caught the end of the previous show, or was it just chance?

Hi JK,

Tried to repeat your "issue", couldn't get the recordings to stop but had another problem, but on 2nd thought it might be better to start another thread on that.

Thanks HtV, might well have been just my mistake (all thumbs), I've never seen it happen before, but I'd like it not to occur again, if it is a glitch....

You didnt happen to notice if the recording service was running at about step #4 above?

It might be worth checking the Windows Event Viewer to see if there was any record of the recording service crashing at this time.

I've had a good look at the logs and everything looks fine, but it does seem to cut short to me, which makes me think something caused the recording service to die.

You mean in task manager...? no sorry, I didn't think to look there, I just saw no green "G".

Seem OK. No odd events around that time..

Sorry, I'm not sure then. There is nothing that stands out in the logs.

If it happens again, take a look at task manager to check if the GBPVRRecordingService.exe is still running,
